INDY SEWING STUDIO
Capitalizing on the unmet demand for a communal sewing space in the area, Indy Sewing Studio is designed to serve both avid sewers and newcomers interested in learning the craft. The studio accommodates a versatile setting that includes a variety of workstations complete with sewing machines and equipment, as well as open workstations where customers can bring their own sewing machines.
The studio will serve as an educational platform offering sewing and crafting classes primarily for children aged 6 and above and adults alike. For adults, Indy Sewing Studio offers an opportunity to collaborate and build a support network with like-minded individuals while sharing in a creative experience. Indy Sewing Studio seeks to be the cornerstone of a crafting community, bringing people together to create, learn, and inspire.
the woman behind the studio
Dana Rowan is a true free spirited connector. She caught the sewing bug five years ago and is a 4th generation sewist. Before sewing, she crocheted and loved making gifts and party decor with paper. After being an ICU Nurse for thirteen years, she took her sewing talent to the next level and opened an Etsy shop. While being a Mom of two little ones she also sold at local Cleveland Markets. Connecting with the vibrant creative community is a big part of where she is today starting the Indy Sewing Studio.
She LOVED her time working at Pins & Needles Sewing Superstore. The knowledge she gained working and making in the sewing industry gave her the foundation to bring her big dreams to fruition. Dana's creative vision always aims to bring people together for learning, playing and enjoying a healthy escape from life's to-dos. Those who have been touched by Dana’s world know her unwavering belief in self-growth and being authentically linked to one’s inner spirit. At every moment you will likely hear her say... We have themed social sewing events for all ages! Part of our mission is to give kids access to a healthy outlet and safe escape from social media and peer pressures.
Our studio offers skills based lessons in a boutique style classroom. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, treat your curiosity and test your creative soul. We provide access to educators, tools, space and everything you need to create, play and learn.
With a two-tier space spread over 1,800 square feet, our studio accommodates a variety of projects using thread, yarn, sewing, quilting and embroidery machines! You can reserve space and machines to work on your projects.
